Social Media Impacts on Syria

The biggest topic in current events is in Syria. Social media has had an interesting impact in the way that everyone has been able to voice their opinions. The fact that Great Britain had a vote in parliament to not engage in military activity was re-posted all over the web and that allowed everyone in the world to immediately know their views and decisions. What was really interesting is how this actually affected the United States’ decision on military engagement and the way that the US stepped back from their original stance. Social media allowed the world to have an opinion and for popular opinion to be heard. We’ll have to see what happens next.
